September 30 – NCPP present Max and Ruth Bloomquist – 7:30 p.m.

August 11, 2011 by Dogwood

Newaygo County People for Peace are pleased to have Max and Ruth Bloomquist perform during Newaygo County’s “30 Days of Peace”!  max-and-ruth
Ruth and Max Bloomquist’s acoustic Americana is the stuff of rustic romantic dreams.  Ruth’s songwriting and rich alto voice combined with their blend of harmony, guitar and upright bass draw the listener straight to the heart of every song.
Ruth and Max have been making music together since they first met and discovered their common love for practically any music that features acoustic instruments and lyrics that touch the heart.  Bluegrass, traditional country, folk … the list goes on – Ruth and Max are excited by it all.
Tickets: $12.50.  Black Box.  7:30 p.m.  Click here to purchase your tickets now!
Tickets available here online, at the Dogwood Box Office, or at NCCA-Artsplace in downtown Fremont.
This performance occurs during Newaygo County’s “30 Days of Peace”, September 10 – October 10.  “30 Days of Peace is a collaborative effort that includes representatives from nonprofits, faith based organizations, businesses, and other local community groups, as well as individuals unaffiliated with any group.    “30 Days of Peace” seeks to unite people around two common goals:  become aware of ways to acknowledge and celebrate peace each day and to promote unity, understanding, kindness, service, compassion, and non-violence in everyday living.
