The Dogwood Center Summer Youth Theater will present the classic story, Peter Pan! Rediscover the loopy fun and darker corners of J.M. Barrie’s original novel with this faithful, fast-moving adaptation. As the story goes…when the carefree and careless Peter Pan flies into the nursery of the Darling home, Wendy follows her instincts for maternity and adventure, bringing her little brothers along to the magical Neverland to take care of the motherless Lost Boys. Soon the Darling children are swept into Peter’s deadly battle with Captain Hook and his mostly-fearsome pirate crew.
Youth ages 12 and up are encouraged to audition for the play on Monday, May 13 or Friday, May 17 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the Dogwood Center Black Box.
The cast will include over 30 parts, including 7 males, 6 females, 13 of either, and lots of parts for extras as Lost Boys or pirates. Performance dates are set for July 19 and 20.
This program is funded by a Fremont Area Community Foundation Summer Youth Initiative Grant.
