The chorus is dedicated to singing culturally diverse music that promotes appreciation of women composers and arrangers. Established for the education, enjoyment, and enrichment of both members and audiences, they seek to create and inspire meaningful experience through musical expression.Â
The group will be singing songs in Polish, Spanish, Arabic, Finnish, and Akan (S. African), as well as songs from Celtic and African American traditions. The concert will also include songs in the spirit of openness and change by peace activist and composer, Holly Near.
