THE PROSPERITY PARADOX AND THE POWER OF MARKET-CREATING INNOVATION

Efosa Ojomo is the director of the Global Prosperity Research Group at the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation, an innovation-focused think tank based in Boston. He focuses his research and writing on how innovation can transform organizations and create inclusive prosperity for many.

In January 2019, alongside the late Harvard Business School professor, Clayton Christensen, Ojomo published the book, The Prosperity Paradox: How Innovation Can Lift Nations Out of Poverty. In it, he suggests a different way to fight poverty through entrepreneurship and innovation as the center stage of economic development and prosperity.

Ojomo is a speaker and consultant on ways to develop a culture that fosters market-creating innovations. He’s presented his work at TED, the Aspen Ideas Festival, the World Bank, Harvard, Yale, Oxford, and several other conferences and institutions. His work has been published and covered by The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business ReviewMIT Sloan Management Review, The GuardianQuartzForbes, Fortune, The World Bank, NPRand several other media outlets.

This lecture will be broadcast live at the Dogwood Center from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Admission is free.
