It is the Fremont Area Community Foundation’s anniversary year\, but the presents from them are for you! FACF’s first gift to the community is a FREE concert by the Grand Rapids Symphony right here at the Dogwood Center! \n \nThe Grand Rapids Symphony returns to the Dogwood Center on Thursday\, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. for a sure to be incredible performance! Join us and you will experience a world-class orchestra performing for you live at the Dogwood! \nThe Evening’s performance will be conducted by Guest Conductor Duo Shen\, and will feature the music of Rossini\, Suppe\, Beethoven\, Rimsky-Korsakov\, Brahms\, Wagner and Glinka. \nThe Grand Rapids Symphony was officially organized in 1930 and is recognized as one of America’s leading regional orchestras. Their mission is “to share great music that moves the human soul”…and that is what they will be doing right here in Newaygo County! \nAudience members are also invited to a post-performance\, insightful and informative “Talk Back” session with Guest Conductor Duo Shen and GRS Director or Education Sarah Stickney in the Main Stage Area. \nThe Dogwood Center is located one mile east of downtown Fremont. DESCRIPTION:Click here to register your child for Broadway Bootcamp over spring break 2026!\n\nThe jungle is jumpin’ with a jazzy beat in Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS. Specially adapted from the classic Disney animated film\, Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the movie.\n\nStudents ages 6-12 are invited to join the Broadway Bootcamp team in creating a rumble in the jungle over spring break. Whether you want to be a tiger\, a monkey\, an elephant\, or the lovable bear Baloo\, there is a part for you!\n\nWatch as your child’s confidence soars and their creativity takes center stage. At Broadway Bootcamp\, every child has a star inside them waiting to shine. The program is designed to nurture their talents and help them grow into confident performers. From acting to singing and dancing\, your child will learn the essentials of musical theater and bring famous Broadway scenes and songs to life. \nOur only requirements we have for our classes is to wear comfortable clothing\, closed-toed tennis shoes\, and to bring a water bottle. Class sizes are limited\, so register as soon as possible to guarantee your spot! \nThe Bootcamp will take place each day\, Monday – Friday April 6-10\, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday will include a free performance open to the public that starts at 10:30 a.m. Spots are limited. DESCRIPTION:The Fremont Area Community Foundation invites you to experience a wonderful concert by the Grand Valley Piano Chamber Series on \nSunday\, April 12 at 3:00 p.m. at the Dogwood Center’s Black Box! \n \nThe Grand Valley Piano Chamber Series (GVPCS) returns to the Dogwood with the final program of the 2025-2026 season. This season\, GVPCS celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with chamber music works by composers who made the United States their new home. This concluding program features Rachmaninoff’s famous Vocalise as well as his Trio No. 1\, Bartok’s Violin Rhpsody No.2\, and Rebecca Clarke’s Piano Trio. Pianist Sookkyung Cho\, Artistic Director of GVPCS\, will be joined by violinist Robin Scott and cellist Ahrim Kim\, both members of the faculty at the esteemed Eastman School of Music.
